"We are the front lines of truth advocacy. Major media outlets have traded truth for sensationalism, and online news sites have no real legal concerns to keep them in check. Digital text is not ink. The community newspapers are left as the only legally challenged body of information. We cannot afford to lie. We cannot afford to be inaccurate. We are the last stand for freedom of the press. We are the last of the true journalists."

Alabama Baptist All-State Children’s Honor Choir performed in Panama City, Florida and Enterprise on March 5th and 6th.  The concert was presented at First Baptist in Panama City, Panama City Mall, and First Baptist in Enterprise.

The students, which participated in this 12th annual performance, were selected from a large statewide group.  Each student had to submit an audition tape and go through and extensive application process.  This 165-voice choir is composed of fourth, fifth, and six graders.

The group was directed by Jane Burdesaw, Children’s Choir Specialist of Montgomery, and accompanied by Music Specialist, Deb Anderson of Selma.  The Alabama Baptists Board of Missions, Worship Leadership and Church Music sponsor the choir.

Bibb County churches have been well represented with many participating students for the past 11 years.  All participants and their families would thank Mrs. Connie Hale for her work and dedication in making the program a success.
