"We are the front lines of truth advocacy. Major media outlets have traded truth for sensationalism, and online news sites have no real legal concerns to keep them in check. Digital text is not ink. The community newspapers are left as the only legally challenged body of information. We cannot afford to lie. We cannot afford to be inaccurate. We are the last stand for freedom of the press. We are the last of the true journalists."

You can now register your boat or automobile online

Jerry C. Pow
Bibb County Probate Judge

The Bibb County Probate Office has implemented a new and powerful Automobile and Boat Registration System that is helping us to reduce our costs and enhance the level of service provided to our customers.
This new system also provides a convenient, secure, online alternative to paying in person. Just go to the Bibb County website at www.bibbal.com, click on the online renewal icon and enter your 10 digit code, right above the date of issue, and your tag number from last year’s renewal receipt, you or your spouses drivers license may also be needed. There is a Transaction fee ($5.00) and a mail fee ($2.00) per tag, but you will save your time of having to come to our office to renew your tags and on the last day of the month, as your having dinner and remember that you did not renew your tags, you can go online at 11:55 PM and save the $15.00 penalty.
To make online renewals even easier, the new system provides the ability to send out email reminders for automobile renewals (boats renewals are due at the same time). These reminders include direct links to the website.
To take advantage of the email reminders, you can simply provide us your email address when visiting one of the local Probate Offices or you can sign up via the link on Bibb County’s homepage (www.bibbal.com). If registering online, please be sure that you have your current tag number and email address available. Your (or your spouses) driver’s license number will be used to ensure that your email address is linked to the correct registration information. Once you have registered your email address online, you will receive a confirmation email letting you know that the process is complete. You will then start receiving email notifications prior to the month when your registration is due to be renewed.
The Bibb County Probate Office encourages you to take advantage of these new services and to provide us feedback on ways that we can continue to improve our services to you, our citizens.
